We Are In a War

I find my prayers are much more powerful if I ask in the name of Jesus and by the blood that Jesus shed on the cross.

“And they overcame him by the blood of the lamb and by the word of their testimony.” Revelation 12:11.

“Ask, using my name and you will receive...” John 16:24.

“You can ask Him (the Father), for anything, using my name (Jesus), and I will do it...” John 14:13.

I like to claim this promise, “the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but are mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds, casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalted itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.” 2 Corinthians 10:4, 5.

Also I find praying out loud very helpful. “I will pray morning, noon, and night, pleading aloud with God; and He will hear and answer.” Psalms 55:17.

I think it is helpful to say the name of Jesus out loud a lot. Talk to others about Him saying His name often. The devil and his evil angels don't like to be around to hear the name of Jesus. “Talk with each other much about the Lord, quoting Psalms and hymns and singing sacred songs...” Ephesians 5:19.

I find singing songs is helpful. I especially like to sing songs that praise God or talk about His greatness . Some of my favorite songs are shown on the Resource page. The devil and his evil angels hate it. They will leave. They want our praise. They don't want to hear God and Jesus being praised.

“O God my strength, I will sing your praises for you are my place of safety.” Psalms 59:9.

“Then I will praise God with my singing!” Psalms 69:30.

“I will sing praises to the name of the Lord who is above all lords.” Psalms 7:17.

“I will praise the Lord no matter what happens.” Psalms 34:1.

“Let us praise the Lord together, and exalt His name.” Psalms 34:3

“Let the teaching of Christ live in you richly. Use all wisdom to teach and instruct each other by singing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs with thankfulness in your hearts to God.” Colossians 3:16.

“But true praise is a worthy sacrifice; this really honors me.” Psalms 50:23.

Spiritual Warfare

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against principalities... against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”

Ephesians 6:12

“And I will praise your name continually, fulfilling my vow of praising you each day.” Psalms 61:8.

“But as for me, I will sing each morning about your power and mercy.” Psalms 59:16.

“Praise the Lord...Praise Him for His majestic glory, the glory of His name.” Psalms 29:1, 2.
